Hampton Inn Alexandria/Pentagon South

My 13 year old son & I stayed for 6 nights last week. Everything, including the staff, was outstanding! Facility had a new / modern feel to it. Our room was quiet & comfortable with comfy beds. Complimentary breakfast was much nicer than most hotels provide. Staff was friendly, helpful & easygoing. Housekeeping did an outstanding job keeping our room clean. Highly recommend! Please make sure to take care of your housekeeping, dining room staff etc. They work very hard & deserve to be tipped. We could tell how much they appreciate it!

I wasn’t thinking much of this hotel cause it doesn’t look as new or appealing as some of my other choices. But the prices here are good and they didn’t charge me a deposit which I appreciate. Everyone here is so nice and helpful. Staff always say good morning and greet you with a smile. I am enjoying my stay here and would definitely come back when I visit Virginia.

Clean room, pet friendly rooms, good breakfast. Free parking. Less than 15 minutes drive to DC monuments as well as the ballpark. 7 minutes from a beautiful park with a dog park. Several restaurants are walking distance away, including a nice diner.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly, kind, and helpful. Rooms were very clean, was a short 2 night stay, Kevin was sure to ask us if we would want house cleaning during our stay ~ which we declined but was polite and let us know if we needed it, to just ask. We had booked two rooms adjacent to each other, and the rooms had an interior connection to each other, with a secure lock on each door on both doors, which was convenient as a family for access between rooms. Bathrooms were well stocked with enough towels needed for showers, and shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotion. AC worked very well, with a continuous fan option for decent white noise. Blankets had a very clean scent on them, comfortable pillows, soft but not too firm bed, plenty of convenient outlets, many options to adjust lighting (overhead, lamps) As a person with sensory issues I found this hotel had many adjustable options for my comfort. Pool hours are between 11-9 pm, which I felt was very fair, especially being open late. The lobby always had hot coffee, hot water for hot cocoa/tea. Pretty decent coffee for a hotel offering. The complimentary free breakfast was between 6-10 (which I felt was very generous for a time period) and was very good, with changes each morning, many options to choose from. They also often had cookies left in lobby which were gooey, and yummy. On our floor, which was the 1st floor, there was vending machines stuck in the past with only cash payment, but thankfully ~ vintage tech also included vintage pricing! 1.25 for all drink options. They also had a vending machine for various medicinal things (pain relievers, tums, etc) at a dollar each. I felt this definitely added to the convenience of the stay as options for someone. I didn't use the gym but it looked equipped and was open until midnight. If I had one complaint, the rooms curtains were more sheer, I didn't find it caused lacked of privacy - but some light would seep in the room from outside. Not too bright, but as a person who likes to sleep in pitch dark rooms, that would be my nitpick. On top of it all, I had forgotten my sentimental plush in the hotel room after checking out. Once I realized a few hours later, I was able to call the front desk and they immediately checked with house keeping if they had found any stuffed animals in my room. I was luckily re united with my treasured 10 years owned, kind of yucky if you didn't have a connection with stuffed animal. I was worried that maybe they might have tossed him, but they assured me they keep everything found in rooms safe in lost & found. Thank you Kevin, and all staff for a great weekend stay. It really highlighted an amazing trip to Washington DC with many conveniences/comforts

I researched reviews from all over, of over a dozen hotels before settling on this one. It sounded safe, clean, and hardly had any bad reviews. Parking was also included. I didn't care if the decor looked dated. It's vintage! I was more focused on safety inside and outside the hotel and cleanliness. The free continental breakfast and included parking was a nice plus. My son and I stayed for 3 days, 2 nights. There's a Target, 7-11, laundromat, and some eateries within walking distance. Parking is FREE and plentiful. Staff was always kind and helpful. The hotel is a short drive to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Arlington National Cemetery. Beds were comfy. Using the app as a room key was so cool and innovative. They also offer early check-in and late check-out. I think that's about it. Overall, I am a happy customer and was very satisfied with the hotel, hotel experience, and hotel staff.

The Hampton Inn may not be the fanciest hotel on the block, but what it lacks in luxury, it makes up for in reliability. Location-wise, this place is a winner. Getting to D.C.’s top attractions—like Arlington Cemetery, the Capital, and all the iconic monuments—was incredibly easy. With convenient access to major roads, we were just a short drive away from the heart of the action. Safety and comfort go hand in hand here, and I never once questioned whether I could relax. The well-lit parking lot and secure entrances added peace of mind, making this a great choice for solo travelers and families alike. And let’s talk about the breakfast—because when a free meal is actually good, that’s worth celebrating. Fluffy eggs, cereal, and a waffle station that practically calls your name. If you're looking for a solid stay without the fuss, the Hampton Inn delivers exactly what you need—no more, no less, and just right.

We spent 3 nights at this location. When we made the reservation, the rate was better than other comparable properties. Check-in at the desk was courteous and efficient. Our room was modern and clean. Everything was in working order. The only minor flaw was that some of the wooden furniture items were worn and needed care. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast in the lobby. There was a good selection of eggs, potatoes, baked goods, yogurts, cereal and fruit. At night, the room was quiet and comfortable. This Hampton Inn did everything right to make our stay in Alexandria a good one

Your standard hotel with breakfast. Stayed here for one night and had no complaints. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and they have free parking. That’s all I ask! Will stay here again when I’m back in the area.
